Project Description
LaunchBR, a strategic initiative of Metromorphosis, is a 14-week Business Academy focused on building skills and tools to start or grow a business to take advantage of emerging opportunities in Green Infrastructure in the Baton Rouge market. One part of the course is focused on building technical knowledge of Green Infrastructure and stormwater management. This includes a review and skill building of the following topics:
- construction materials,
- plant material,
- design and construction of green infrastructure elements,
- identifying opportunities for green infrastructure implementation,
- advocating for green infrastructure, and
- communicating with clients.
Patch LA led the Green Infrastructure technical aspects of the course, and directed the design of and installation of permeable pavement, bioswales, and rain gardens at the community build site.
