Project Description

The Baton Rouge Sanitary Sewer Overflows (SSO) Program is a 10 year $1.5B capital improvements program aimed to upgrade and rehabilitate the sanitary sewer system throughout East Baton Rouge Parish. The Program consists of 115 projects, from new pipelines, upgraded sewer pump stations, upgrading sewer treatment plants, and rehabilitating existing sewer lines. Patrick Michaels worked as the Public Engagement Lead for the final 3.5 years of construction. Patch assists the Baton Rouge Department of Environmental Services in both public education, landscape architecture, and stakeholder engagement efforts.
